Once again, it was the right place to attend educational conferences and the presentation of the latest products in the market for the different industries represented in this expo. This year the quantity of exhibitors rose to 100 including industry companies and numerous specialized press, representing more than 400 national and international first level brands and occupying more than 2,400 sqm with stands.
The opening act was carried out during the second day in charge of Norma Trinchitella (treasurer of CAPER), Ricardo Solari (President of the entity) and Enrique Avogadro (General Director of Creative Industries and External Trade of Buenos Aires).
In an article written previously to the opening act by Mr. Solari, he said: "Our Association was created in 1988 with clear objectives in the mind of its founders. One of them was obviously to represent and defend the interests of professional equipment manufacturing and supplying companies for radio, television, cable and satellite before topics related to the interest of all of them. Another of the objectives was to organize a high technological and professional equipment and services exhibition. Our objective was to show in our country every year the latest news on these areas which by then could only be seen in exhibitions abroad. In 1992, we are finally able to carry out our first exhibition".
Arriving to this 18th edition, we can even make a review on CAPER’s evolution both as an association and the expo itself. Through the years, they started adding other topics and technologies to this event like multimedia, digital technologies, cinema, and so on, which didn't only enlarge the informative offer found here, but also the fair’s success and recognition at a Latin American level.
Within the framework of CAPER 2009 several cinema seminars took place once again, with issues like Workflow, Digital Media, Lighting and Sound in Cinema, technological news, among others; and in charge of important personalities in the cinema industry, such as directors of photography from the ADF (Argentinian Association of Photography Authors for Movies) and cinema directors gathered under the PCI (Independent Cinema Project), with representation in the INCAA, just to name a few.
Some of the titles that built the program related to cinema were: Stereoscopic 3D: you can see even more; The new post-production: invisible effects; Financing and Distributing Documentals; Choosing the filming format and post-production for documentals realization; Mini DV: advantages and possibilities of low definition in independent fiction movies; Can you create a local sitcom taking as a model the production and realization design of those who created the format?.
Two Master Classes on Lighting for Cinema were also carried out, in charge of Félix "El Chango" Monti (Director of Photography for important Argentinian films such as El secreto de sus ojos and La historia oficial); and a seminar called "Live sound and sound post-production used in Francis Ford Coppola’s TETRO movie", as well as diverse demonstrations and equipment workshops for cinema.
On the other hand, as part of the Product Workshops (in charge of exhibiting companies) several issues inside all the areas of professional audiovisual equipment were developed, for example: digital media for postproduction, digital consoles, HD technology, digital audio networks for broadcasting.
We thank all the staff at CAPER for their collaboration so that Tecnoprofile could be present in this exhibition once again. |
